Symantec Ghost
Symantec's Ghost is a tool used to take "images" or backups of
your computer's internal hard drive. This allows you to migrate to a
newer/larger hard drive with ease. This would also allow you to
deploy a common configuration to multiple systems with minimal
effort. For instance, if you wanted to load an entire lab of computers
with the exact same software it might take days. With Ghost you
simply build your first system the way you want it and then use
ghost, to copy it to all of the other computers in a matter of minutes.
